Lost and Found (Part 1)

Over the next couple of weeks I am going to be posting some photos from 2009 that fell through the cracks. These images can be anything from family vacation photos to photos in the backyard or extras from a wedding. They will be the ones that just didn't make it out the door for whatever reason but need to be displayed for everyone to see.

This first set of photos comes from a family camping trip to Fort Stevens on the northwest tip of Oregon. On the beach, a couple miles from Fort Stevens itself, sits is the ship wreck of the New Carissa. We spent our days walking the beaches and enjoying the sun and sand then returned later in the evening to enjoy and unobstructed view of the stars. If you look carefully at the last photo you can see the big dipper on the upper right side.

The Abstract Beach // Oregon Fine Art Photographer

About a month ago the family and I headed out to the coast for some fun and food. We spent part of the day on the beach (I use that term loosly) playing in the sand and just enjoying the area. Photographing the beach is something that has been done a million times over and over. That is why I focused on other sorts of details that you can only find on a beach littered with driftwood, trees, and rocks. For more photos from the trip also check out my Flickr Page.
